PROGRAMMING NEWS:
Thanks to the generosity of members like you, we were able to raise $317,000 from more than 2,000 pledges during the March membership campaign. The most popular shows during the drive were Rock, Pop & Doo Wop, Suze Orman's Money Class and Les Miserables 25th Anniversary Concert at the O2. The money raised during the campaign will be used to purchase and create the programs you enjoy throughout the year on LPB.
To commemorate the 150th anniversary of the beginning of the Civil War, we will be running Ken Burns’ award-winning The Civil War series from Monday through Wednesday starting at 7PM and Thursday at 8PM. The episodes will be followed by episodes of American Experience: Robert E. Lee (Monday at 9:30), Ulysses S. Grant (Tuesday at 9:30) and The Assassination of Abraham Lincoln (Wednesday at 9:30).
On Sunday at 8PM, it is the long-awaited sequel to Upstairs Downstairs on Masterpiece. Original star Jean Marsh returns along with an all-star cast.
