Happy August 1st! Tonight, we'll give you two times the antiques for the same price! At 7, Antiques Roadshow visits Grand Rapids, Michigan. At 8, the experts head to Spokane, Washington.

Tuesday night at 7, Live from Lincoln Center takes you to the Mostly Mozart Festival Opening Concert - but you don't have to dress up! At 9, see the Daytime Emmy award-winning New Orleans: Getting Back to Normal. Follow some Louisiana home and business owners as they try to rebuild their lives after Katrina. At 10, see an encore of our Louisiana Public Square special - Beyond The Spill: A GulfWatch Special. See the challenges still facing the Gulf Coast region a year after the capping of the BP oil spill.

Wednesday night features creepy crawlies.... At 7, Nature looks at the black mamba snake, one of Africa's most feared. At 8, NOVA looks at a rat population explosion in part of India due to the blooming of a species of bamboo.

Thursday night, get the tea and crumpets ready. At 7, we have Antiques Roadshow UK. Next is crusty Doc Martin. Then, it's British drama with Garrow's Law and MI-5.

Saturday starts Summerfest 2011 on LPB. We have some wonderful new programs in store for you including Kick It Up a Stitch with Nancy Zieman at 9AM, and Malt Shop Memories with the Four Seasons, the Beach Boys and many more at 4PM and 8PM.

Sunday night, LPB has two fabulous new musical programs. At 6:30, see Nikolai Baskov: Romantic Journey. Russia's most popular tenor performs beautiful classic pieces. At 8, it's Josh Groban Command Performance: 10 Years with Public Television. Groban hand-picked performances from his PBS concerts and also talks about them.

THERE'S NOTHING LIKE A LIVE DOO WOP CONCERT!

LPB LPB is hosting a Rock, Pop and Doo Wop Holiday Concert on Saturday, December 3D at the LSU Union Theater. Featured performers include Gene “Duke of Earl” Chandler, The Coasters (“Yakkety Yak”), The Chiffons (“One Fine Day”), Shirley Alston Reeves, the former lead singer of the Shirelles, and Baton Rouge’s own Jimmy Clanton. A HOT AUGUST NIGHT WITH A COOL DINOSAUR!

LPB “Hot August Night” in Hammond will have an added attraction this year – Dinosaur Train! LPB has teamed up with the Louisiana Children’s Discovery Center and the Columbia Theatre for a Dinosaur Train event! On August 19th from 6 to 10PM, we will be screening the new one-hour Dinosaur Train movie, Dinosaur Big City, at the Columbia Theatre, 220 E. Thomas Street. But that’s not all – we will have lots of hands-on Dinosaur Train fun and activities, plus refreshments!
