We are bringing back some of your favorites for our mini-membership campaign this week.

Tonight at 7, we have a special Antiques Roadshow followed by Atchafalaya Houseboat at 8:30 and legendary guitarist Tommy Emmanuel at 9:30. Your support can get you tickets to Tommy’s Friday night concert at Istrouma Baptist Church. It also airs Wednesday at 9:30.
On Tuesday, we start a three-day run of Eyes on the Prize, the Peabody and Emmy Award-winning series about the Civil Rights Movement in America.
On Thursday night at 9:30, it’s Michael Buble' Meets Madison Square Garden where your support can get you tickets to Michael’s concert in New Orleans on July 14.
On Friday, there is an encore showing of Carole King-James Taylor: Live at the Troubadour.
On Saturday at 8PM, John Denver: Rocky Mountain High Live in Japan is a concert from 1981.
On Sunday, we have three episodes of our duPont Columbia Award-winning series Louisiana: A History starting at 1PM. Then stay tuned at 6PM for the live finale of the LPB Art and Travel Auction. We have 195 pieces of art up for bid along with some great vacation getaways. You can check out all the items online and bid on your favorites. If you really like an item and are willing to pay the posted price, you can buy it right there. Friends of LPB is also raffling off a 2010 G&C Honda Metropolitan Scooter. Tickets are only $5 each. You can purchase your raffle ticket online or by calling Lisa Green at (225) 767-4462.
RED, WHITE AND BUBLÉ
Your knowledge of Michael Bublé, LPB and Independence Day trivia could win you Michael’s new CD Crazy Love or tickets to his sure-to-be-sold out concert at the New Orleans Arena on July 14. Every week through the Fourth of July, the LPB website will feature trivia questions. If you answer the question correctly, your name will go into the weekly drawings for a free CD. Everyone who answers correctly will also be entered into the Grand Prize Drawing for two tickets to the concert. That drawing will be July 6. All entries must be done online.
If you are not counting on the luck of the draw to get your tickets, your contribution to Friends can get you great seats for the concert. Check out the Friends Box Office or Michael’s special on Sunday at 10PM for more details.
SEE TOMMY EMMANUEL IN CONCERT
He’s been called the “best living acoustic guitar player in the world” and he’s coming to Baton Rouge on June 11. Friends has a limited number of tickets for guitar superstar Tommy Emmanuel’s concert at Istrouma Baptist Church in Baton Rouge. Just visit the LPB website to make your contribution and get tickets to see this guitar virtuoso and consummate showman. If you are not familiar with Emmanuel, check out his Center Stage concert on LPB on Monday, June 7 and Wednesday, June 9 at 9:30 each night. In addition to tickets to his B.R. concert, we will also have two autographed guitars as thank you gifts during the show.
