It’s Festival time again and we have some great music and great local programming in March. After a year of budget cuts and more on the way, we need your support more than ever to keep the quality programming you want and deserve on LPB. If you are a member already, thanks. If you are not a member or your membership is expiring this month, please show your support for LPB by becoming a member.

Tonight at 8, American Experience profiles Dolley Madison. No cupcakes are mentioned.

On Tuesday at 7, NOVA looks back at the controversy when Planet Pluto was demoted to a really cold orbiting rock.

On Wednesday at 7, it’s the final episode of Faces of America with Henry Louis Gates.

On Saturday, our membership campaign begins with specials featuring Daniel O’Donnell (3PM), the Lawrence Welk Musical Family (6PM) and Celtic Woman (8PM). Your pledge of support can get you great tickets to the Celtic Woman: Songs from the Heart concert on April 24 at the Baton Rouge River Center Arena. THE MUPPETS ARE COMING, THE MUPPETS ARE COMING!

Speaking of great concerts, LPB has tickets for the Sesame Street 1-2-3 show on Saturday, March 20 at 10AM at the Baton Rouge River Center Arena. For $30, you get a ticket to the show and a meet-and-greet with some of the cast members at 9:30AM. If you just want a ticket to the show, it is $20. A purchase of $60 or more will get your family a year’s membership in the LPB Kids Club. PBS KIDS GO WRITERS' CONTEST – Contest for children in kindergarten through the third grade to create their own stories and drawings. Deadline is April 5. Visit the website for more information and the entry form.

BARNYARD EASTER – Sunday, March 21 from 2 to 4PM – Barnes & Noble Corporate Woods Store in Baton Rouge – Special guest - Buddy from the PBS Kids series Dinosaur Train along with rabbits, an Easter egg hunt, goody bags and lots of great fun!
