Our March membership campaign starts on Wednesday and we have some exciting new specials including concerts with Billy Joel on Wednesday at 9PM, Harry Connick, Jr. and super producer David Foster on Sunday, and the 25th anniversary of Les Miserables on Sunday, March 20 at 7PM. Also look for some new Louisiana documentaries in the coming week including Louisiana Baseball Stories (March 16 at 7PM), Treasures of LSU (March 21 at 8:30PM) and Native Waters: A Chitimacha Recollection (March 22 at 7PM).
Tonight at 8, American Masters has a profile of Carol Burnett.
On Tuesday at 7PM, we have a Louisiana Legends interview with former LSU Baseball Coach and Athletic Director Skip Bertman who led the Tigers to five national titles. That’s followed by The Tenth Inning (7:30), Ken Burns’ look at the modern era of major league baseball.
On Wednesday at 7, it’s Suze Orman’s Money Class and Great Performances Billy Joel Live at Shea Stadium at 9.
On Thursday at 7, Rock Pop & Doo Wop features some of the great performers of the 50s and 60s. That followed by Doc Martin at 9.
On Sunday at 7, New Orleans native Harry Connick, Jr. performs on Broadway with his big band followed by David Foster and Friends, featuring performances by Seal, Chaka Khan, Earth Wind and Fire, Kenny Loggins and many others.

2011 LOUISIANA YOUNG HEROES ANNOUNCED
The eight winners of the 2011 Louisiana Young Heroes awards have been announced. LPB and the Rotary Club of Baton Rouge are co-presenters with underwriting support from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana and ExxonMobil.
This year’s winners are:
Charlton Jesse Boyd, 15, a ninth grader at Loyola College Prep in Shreveport
Samuel Loyd Cooper, 18, a senior at Evangel Christian Academy in Shreveport
Cassidy Crews, 16, a junior at Buckeye High School who lives in Deville
Jenna Mitchell, 16, a junior at Slidell High School
Shaela Nelson, 16, a junior at Scotlandville Magnet High Scholl in Baton Rouge
Katherine Rashall of Ida, 17, a senior at North Caddo High School
Nicole Marie Torres, 15, a ninth-grader at Zwolle High School
Ty’Riana Wilson,17, a senior at Catholic High of New Iberia.
READ ACROSS LOUISIANA WAS A HIT!
Thanks to everyone who took part in this year’s Read Across Louisiana project. Working with our partners at the Louisiana Association of Educators, we had celebrities reading Dr. Seuss books to children at malls around the state last Saturday and in classrooms on Wednesday.
