Program News –

LPB

We’re in the first full week of Festival 2010 with some great local shows.

On Tuesday at 7, South Louisiana music legend Zachary Richard is in concert at the Montreal International Jazz Festival. Zachary will also be in the studio. That’s followed by Against The Tide: The Story of the Cajun People of Louisiana at 8:30.

150 years in the making, it’s the premiere of Forever LSU on Wednesday at 7, Thursday at 8:30 and Sunday at 4:30. Look back on the rich history of the state’s flagship university.

That’s followed at 8:30 by an encore showing of A Summer of Birds, the documentary about John James Audubon’s year in Louisiana and how it inspired his work. We have some very interesting thank you gifts from this program.

On Sunday at Noon, we have a special behind-the-scenes look at the making of Star Wars in Concert and special ticket offers for the May 19th concert in Baton Rouge and the May 20th concert in Bossier City. We mentioned Star Wars and these guys showed up. We have two great concerts Sunday night, Celtic Woman at 6 where you can get great seats for their April 24th concert at the Baton Rouge River Center Arena and David Foster and Friends (8PM featuring performances by Josh Groban and Celine Dion)
