Tonight at 7, Antiques Roadshow visits Biloxi, and American Experience looks back at the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King at 8. At 9:30, the legendary Stevie Wonder is in concert.
On Tuesday at 7, we have an encore showing of Masterpiece’s South Riding followed by Black in Latin America’s look at Brazil. Frontline follows Al Queda at 9.
On Wednesday, Secrets of the Dead looks at the mystery of China’s Terracotta Warriors and NOVA looks at the Incas of Peru.
On Thursday at 7, Chef Folse is cooking Smoked Duck Ham and Doc Martin ponders leaving Port Wenn for a job in London.
On Friday at 7PM, Louisiana: The State We’re In has a wrap-up of the action from the Legislature and Thoroughbred (9:30PM) looks at the elite race horses.
On Sunday at 7, Nature follows a scientist sets up a camp in Alaska to study grizzly bears. On Masterpiece’s South Riding (8PM) Robert is considering leaving town to seek work. At 9, Treasures of LSU goes behind the scenes to show some of the valuable and rare art, literature and historical documents on the LSU campus.
LOUISIANA LEGENDS GALA & AUCTION IS THURSDAY
Join Friends of LPB on Thursday, May 5 at the Old State Capitol as we honor five of Louisiana’s best and brightest at the 21st annual Louisiana Legends Gala and Silent Auction.
This year’s outstanding honorees include Academy Award-nominated and Emmy-winning composer Bill Conti, retired Lt. General Russel Honoré, Lake Charles philanthropist Laura Leach, Shreveport businessman and philanthropist Norman Kinsey, and former LSU and St. Louis Cardinal football player and LSU Coach Jerry Stovall.

Australian guitar legend Tommy Emmanuel, along with his Australian All-Star Band featuring Phil Emmanuel, will be appearing live at the newly-renovated LSU Union Theater on Monday, May 23rd at 7:30PM. Friends of LPB is seeking artists to be a part of The 2011 LPB Art & Travel Auction, which will be held Sunday, October 23rd. Art works donated for the auction will be on exhibit at the Louisiana State Museum in downtown Baton Rouge, September 30th through October 15th. The Preview Party and Opening Reception, LPB Art Rocks, will be held from 7 to 9PM on Friday, September 30th. Donor Agreements and artworks must be received at LPB by Thursday, June 30th.
