IN LOVING MEMORY....

This month, Louisiana lost two legends....

Victor Bussie, the first elected President of the AFL-CIO who served in that capacity for 41 years, passed away September 4, 2011 at the age of 92. Mr. Bussie was a native of Montrose, LA, and served in the U.S. Navy in World War II. Mr, Bussie served for 25 years as the chairman of the Louisiana Public Facilities Authority, as well as on countless boards, committees and advisory panels. Mr. Bussie was recognized by LPB as a Louisiana Legend in 1998. We extend our condolences to Mr. Bussie’s wife and family.
