Join the National Park Service for a visit to the Gulf Islands National Seashore to learn the science of change, specifically, the science of inventory and monitoring. This is the science that the National Park Service uses to understand what is in the park (inventorying) and how those animals, plants, and conditions change over time. Natural change such as the shaping and movement of the Gulf Islands by daily currents will be distinguished from human-influenced change, such as the Gulf Oil Spill. Students will better understand how the process works and how they might apply that understanding in their own lives.
Trip designed for: 4th - 8th Grade Students
