Louisiana Public Broadcasting, the
Louisiana Cable Telecommunications Association (LCTA), and the
Louisiana Legislature team up to provide live legislative coverage for viewers around the state through LaTV. The coverage begins Monday, April 8th with Governor Bobby Jindal’s opening address to the Joint Session of the Legislature.
During the Legislative Session, television coverage will run from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. every weekday on cable systems around the state. At 6:00 p.m., viewers can continue watching
streamed video coverage. (Contact your local cable operator for specific channel information).
The House and Senate produce the daily coverage. It is transmitted to LPB through a fiber connection to its studios where it is digitally uplinked to cable systems recruited by the LCTA around the state. Please note: starting times for any meeting or proceeding are subject to delay. This is all part of this public service partnership.
