Happy Presidents' Day! Tonight at 7, Antiques Roadshow visits Myrtle Beach, SC. One of the highlights of their visit is finding a $400, 000 painting!

Tuesday, we will have a night of special programming. At 7, see an encore of Newtown: A Louisiana Perspective on Louisiana Public Square. At 8, take a look at the history of gun ownership in America, from pre-Colonial times to the present on Guns in America. At 9, Frontline examines the life of a young man and the town he changed forever in Raising Adam Lanza.

Wednesday night, NOVA looks at humans who commit the most inhuman of crimes in Mind of a Rampage Killer at 8PM. Then at 9, The Path to Violence looks at a program that has helped schools detect problem behavior in advance.

Enjoy some British drama Thursday night. At 8, see Midsomer Murders, followed by Lark Rise to Candleford and Foyle's War.

Check out what's happening around our state Friday night at 7 with LPB's Louisiana: The State We're In. At 9, get to know Sister Rosetta Tharpe: The Godmother of Rock & Roll on American Masters.

Saturday night, unwind with British humor. Starting at 7, see Last of the Summer Wine, followed by Waiting for God, The Cafe', and Old Guys.

If you missed the finale of Downton Abbey last Sunday night, catch it this Sunday night at 6PM. At 8, Masterpiece presents Page Eight. An aging spy stumbles on an international scandal that could bring down the British government.

CIRQUE DU SOLEIL: QUIDAM IS COMING TO NEW ORLEANS - AND LPB HAS TICKETS!

DON'T FORGET TO REGISTER FOR ANTIQUES ROADSHOW TICKETS!

LPB We are proud to announce that Baton Rouge has been selected as one of the eight cities for the Summer 2013 tour of Antiques Roadshow! The event will be Saturday, July 27th at the Baton Rouge River Center.

You must have a ticket to attend the event. Visit LPB's website or call 1-888-762-3749 to apply for tickets. The deadline for applications is April 8th. Three thousand names will be chosen in a random drawing in April - each person selected will receive two tickets each. Each ticketholder may have two items appraised.

LPB will also be offering tickets - stay tuned to find out how you can get them!

IS YOUR CHILD A BUDDING AUTHOR?

LPB Now through April 6, 2013, children in the LPB viewing areas can submit their entries to the PBS KIDS GO! Writers Contest. LPB will select local winners in the spring of 2013. The local winners will be featured on LPB’s website and will each receive a Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers Gift Card!

The local winners will then be entered into the national contest where a panel of esteemed judges will rank the top 12 entries. National winners will be announced during the summer of 2013 and the winning stories will be featured on pbskids.org/writerscontest.

The national winners will receive prizes, including tablets, e-readers and MP3 players. Additionally, Highlights for Children has joined the Contest as a new promotional partner and all participants will have the option to receive a print or digital version of Highlights magazine.

LPB Thank you to everyone who came to BREC’s Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center in Baton Rouge yesterday when we turned the spotlight on the Wild Kratts and Dinosaur Train Underwater Adventures. In addition to special showings of Wild Kratts: Lost at Sea and Dinosaur Train’s Submarine Adventure, BREC’s Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center had live animals for the kids and their parents to see and touch. The weather could not have been more perfect for a hike on the boardwalk through the swamp! Special thanks to Shannon Guidrey - shown here with her little gator pal - for hosting LPB's visit!

SID THE SCIENCE KID: THE MOVIE AT THE LAFAYETTE SCIENCE MUSEUM!

LPB LPB will hold two special premiere showings of Sid the Science Kid - The Movie! at the Lafayette Science Museum in Lafayette on Sunday, March 17 at 1 and 2:30PM. The auditorium holds 100 and we expect to have a full house for both showings. It'll be a red carpet event! Every child will have the chance to try out a Sid experiment (how about a marshmallow catapult?!) - and we'll have Sid goodies for the kids to take home! Come dressed like Sid to win a prize!
