Friends of LPB, together with Collette Tours, is planning a very special voyage. While it will not take place until the summer of 2014, and given the nature of the voyage, you will understand why it’s not too early to start making plans.
Every five years, Acadians from all over the world gather at a selected location on the North American continent for a couple of weeks. These gatherings are called the World Congress of the Acadians. The next such gathering is set for August of 2014 at a point on the map where the U.S. state of Maine meets the Canadian province of New Brunswick and both touch La Belle Province, i.e., Quebec.
On August 8, 2014, we fly from Louisiana to beautiful Montreal for three nights, on to historic Quebec City for three nights, then on to the World Congress of the Acadians for three nights. Our last night in Canada (August 18) will be spent overlooking the St. Lawrence River at the Chateau Frontenac, one of the world’s most beautiful and historic hotels.
