Pineville-native Faith Ford is best known for her role as Corky Sherwood in the Emmy-winning comedy "Murphy Brown," which ran for nine years on CBS. She is currently starring in the CBS comedy "Maggie Winters."

J. Bennett Johnston served four terms as one of Louisiana’s U.S. Senators and was one of the most powerful members of Congress when he retired in 1996.

Jim Taylor Jim Taylor

Baton Rouge-native Jim Taylor was a star running back for Baton Rouge High and LSU before helping the Green Bay Packers win NFL Championships in 1961, 1962, 1965 and 1966. He finished his career with the New Orleans Saints and retired as the second leading rusher in NFL history. He was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1976.

Irma Thomas recorded her first record when she was 15 years old and is still going strong four decades later. Best known for her sixties hits "Time Is On My Side," "It’s Rainin’," and "I Wish Someone Would Care," Irma recently teamed with Marcia Ball and Tracey Nelson for a critically acclaimed album called "Sing It."
