John Prime is an award-winning senior reporter for the Times at Shreveport. Prime, who has been with the paper since 1978, reports on the military in the Shreveport-Bossier area. He has worked at a number of different positions for the Gannett paper including assistant state editor. Prime has also co-written a book called "Images of America: Barksdale Air Force Base" with H.D. "Buck" Rigg and Shawn Bohannon that was published in 2002.
