State Senator Lydia P. Jackson, a native of Shreveport, was elected to that post in 2004. She is also Vice President, Community Outreach Director for Hibernia National Bank, a position she has held since 1996. Jackson is a graduate of Harvard-Radcliffe in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Jackson is currently a Board Member for the following organizations: The Arc of Caddo-Bossier, Highland Area Partnership, Shreveport-Bossier Service Connection, Foundation for the Mid South, and The Strand Theater. She is also involved in various capacities with a number of other Shreveport-Bossier area organizations.
