Chris Schmidt is a Project Manager in the E.J. Ourso College of Business’ Division of Economic Development at Louisiana State University.
Chris is currently leading LSU’s efforts to study the Louisiana and Mississippi green economies as part of a consortium consisting of the Louisiana Workforce Commission, Mississippi Department of Employment Security, and Mississippi State University.
Since joining LSU in 2008, Chris has led a variety of economic research projects including Louisiana’s Job Vacancy Survey as well as various economic impact studies for state agencies and private organizations.
Prior to joining LSU, he held internships at the Louisiana Workforce Commission and the Baton Rouge Area Chamber where he conducted labor market analysis and policy research.
Chris holds a B.A. in Economics from Louisiana State University.
