Rick Ward is a first term Senator in the Louisiana Legislature, serving District 17 which includes St. Helena, East Feliciana, West Feliciana, Pointe Coupee, East Baton Rouge, West Baton Rouge, Iberville, Assumption and St. Martin Parishes.
He is a member of the Senate Insurance and Judiciary A Committees and serves as the Vice-Chair of the Senate Natural Resources Committee.
Ward is a graduate of Louisiana State University and the Southern University Law Center.
A native of Livonia, Ward is married to the former Dawn White, and has three children: Reese, Hayes and Hudson Ward.
