Check out what you can watch now in HD from LPB:
Viewers can receive LPB’s three digital channels (LPB1, LPB2 and LPB3) free of charge by attaching their digital television to an antenna or by using a DTV converter box hooked up to an older, analog set.
The LPB Digital Hotline is still operating. You can call toll-free at 1-800-272-8161, extension 6060. If you are in the Baton Rouge area you can call 768-6060. You can also email your questions to comments@lpb.org.
If you have an older TV, you must have a digital converter box or purchase a TV with a digital tuner to receive the new digital signals over the air using an antenna.
If you have cable or satellite service and are experiencing problems receiving LPB, please contact your provider first before calling LPB.
Try rescanning the channels on your digital TV or digital converter box. This function is normally under “Menu” on your remote and is called Channel Scan, Channel Search or Auto Scan.
If a normal scan doesn’t work, try the double scan:
If you are not receiving all three of LPB’s digital channels over the air, we recommend that you rescan the channels on your digital TV or your digital converter box. Ace engineer Fred Christiansen suggests that you unplug your converter box and plug it back in before you rescan to guarantee that you will have a clean slate on the box.

Learn why you must rescan regularly:
After hooking up a converter box to your TV set, or installing a new digital television, you will need to scan for new channels to ensure you receive all of the digital stations broadcasting in your area. While some boxes do this automatically, you may need to select scan manually.
Since some digital stations are still coming on air, you may want to consider rescanning on a periodic basis to get all of the digital programming available.
Because some digital stations that are already on air are moving to different channel numbers at the end of DTV transition, you may need to rescan again after February 17, 2009 to ensure that you receive all of the digital stations broadcasting in your area.
