If you like music of the early 60s, My Yearbook 1960-1963 features host Bobby Vinton and archival performances by the Everly Brothers, Connie Francis, Ricky Nelson and many other. It premieres Saturday, March 7 at 8PM with encore showings March 8 at 10PM and March 13 at 11PM.
On Sunday, March 8 at 7PM, Shirley Jones hosts Great Broadway Musical Moments from The Ed Sullivan Show featuring songs from My Fair Lady, Oklahoma!, West Side Story, Annie Get Your Gun, Camelot, and Sweet Charity.
Canadian Rocker Bryan Adams takes center stage on March 9 at 8:30PM for a concert featuring such hits as “Cuts Like A Knife,” “Summer of 69,” “Run to You,” “Heaven,” and “Everything I Do, I Do For You.”
Beyond Galilee (Tuesday, March 10 at 7PM) tells the story of the Reverend Martin Luther King’s visit to Shreveport in the early days of the Civil Rights Movement. That’s followed at 8:30 by African Americans: Many Rivers to Cross, which tells the story of the Civil Rights Movement from, Rosa Parks refusal to give up her bus seat in 1955 to Rev, King’s assassination in 1968.
If you like the blues, there are two musical tributes to the legendary Muddy Waters. On Wednesday, March 11 at 7PM, Joe Bonamassa plays Muddy’s music in a new special. It also airs on Saturday, March 14 followed by Soundstage: Blues Summit in Chicgo - 1974 featuring Waters and a long list of blues performers.
50 Years with Peter Paul & Mary (Wednesday, March 11 at 8:30PM & Sunday, March 14 at 7PM) features previously unseen television footage of the trio.
It’s Louisiana Music night on Thursday, March 12. On Monday, March 16 at 9, Grammy-winners James Taylor, Allison Krause and many others perform at the Transatlantic Sessions.
Cajun and Creole Chef John Folse is back with a special with a preview of his new series of Hooks, Lies & Alibis with Chef John Folse on Tuesday, March 17 at 7 and 11PM. That followed at 8PM by American Creole: New Orleans Reunion, the story of New Orleans musician Don Vappie whose life changed drastically after Hurricane Katrina wiped out his house.
More Trains Around North America: Great Scenic Railway Journeys (Wednesday, March 18 at 7PM and Saturday, March 21 at 9AM) follows Grammy award winning musician and storyteller David Holt as he ventures across North America to explore some of our best rail adventures. Father Brown: Saving Souls, Solving Crimes (Thursday, March 19 at 7PM) gives a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the mystery series.
The campaign wraps up on Sunday, March 22 at 8PM with Mr. Selfridge: A Celebration featuring features highlights from the first two seasons of Mr. Selfridge and a sneak peek at Season 3 which premieres March 29 at 8PM.
