LPB’S TURNING THE TIDE WINS GOLDEN CINE AWARD »»»

  • An in-depth and up-to-date examination of Louisiana’s ongoing coastal land loss
Louisiana Public Broadcasting's documentary Turning the Tide has been honored with a 2012 Golden CINE Award in the Information Category.

Turning the Tide presents an in-depth and up-to-date examination of Louisiana’s ongoing coastal land loss and the solutions proposed. Released in 2011, the documentary features more than 50 scientists, policymakers, and citizen leaders providing a comprehensive view of the problem and strategies and includes recent research from the Mississippi River flood of 2011.

Christina Melton served as Senior Producer for the project and Liz Barnes was the producer. Rex Q. Fortenberry was the videographer and editor for the documentary. This project was funded by a grant from the McKnight Foundation and by the Foundation for Excellence in Louisiana Public Broadcasting.
