Christmas Week Specials

Louisiana Public Broadcasting has a joyous lineup of musical specials and children’s programs featuring Arthur, Curious George and the Cat in the Hat during Christmas week.

On Monday, December 23 at 8PM, Christmas in Norway with the St. Olaf Choir features the Minnesota university’s acapella choir in Norway. That’s followed at 9PM by Christmas at Luther featuring the Iowa university’s choirs and orchestra performing traditional Christmas music.

Christmas with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir with Alfie Boe & Tom Brokaw (December 24 at 8PM) features renowned TV personality Tom Brokaw and Tony Award-winning Les Misérables tenor Alfie Boe in a concert of holiday favorites.

On Christmas Day at 7PM, NATURE Christmas in Yellowstone travels to Hayden Valley to see the majestic beauty of the nation’s first national park. At 8PM, opera star Denyce Graves hosts Christmas at Belmont in Nashville.

The children’s specials start on Christmas Eve at 7AM with The Cat In The Hat Knows A Lot About Christmas! This adventure finds The Cat in the Hat, Nick and Sally on a journey around the world to help a lost reindeer find his way home. It also airs at 2:30PM.

On Curious George: A Very Monkey Christmas (December 25 at 7AM & 3PM) , George and The Man with the Yellow Hat can’t figure out what gift to give each other for Christmas.

On Arthur’s Perfect Christmas (Wednesday, December 25 at 6AM), Arthur, D.W., their family and friends make preparations for perfect gifts, perfect parties and perfect family traditions for Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and even "Baxter Day" (Buster and his mom's special celebration).
