Just in time for football season, Alabama Public Television (APT), the Arkansas Educational Television Network (AETN), Georgia Public Television (GPTV), Louisiana Public Broadcasting (LPB), and Mississippi Educational Television joinied forces for a marathon of tailgating recipes. This is the second live cooking marathon produced by the Five-Star Network. The first was the very successful and popular “A Taste of the South.”
Chef John Folse of “A Taste of Louisiana with Chef John Folse & Co.” hosts the Louisiana segment of the show, Don Bingham cooks for Arkansas, Stanley Graham is the chef for Mississippi, Leslie Bailey hosts the Alabama segment and Charles Renaud cooks for GPTV.
Other football stars include former LSU stars Lyman White and Greg LaFleur, former Washington Redskin player Bob Brunet, former Arkansas player Isaac Davis and current Razorback coach Houston Nutt, former Ole Miss player Arthur “Skip” Jernigan, and some very special surprise guests.
A special Gridiron Gourmet Classic Cookbook with recipes from all five states and the celebrity chefs was the thank-you gift for viewers who call in a contribution.
We know football and eating are two of the south’s favorite sports. Here’s your chance to get a great cookbook, see some true football legends and support public television in your state all at the same time.
