On June 4th, 2009, eight caregivers were recognized for their exemplary service to children by Louisiana Public Broadcasting, KCET public television in Los Angeles, and the series A Place of Our Own / Los Niños en Su Casa. These caregivers were singled out by experts in early childhood education for their abilities to meet the physical, emotional and educational needs of the children through daily routines, age-appropriate curriculums and a nurturing philosophy of care.
These honorees have carved out a place in their homes and their hearts for the children in their care. Hear their stories and see what sets them apart from the rest in this 30-minute hi-definition program.
