American History in a New Way!
Educators from across the state joined us in LPB’s studio on Saturday, November 19, 2011 from 9-12 to experience a virtual adventure into America History.
MISSION US, a “revolutionary” multimedia project, gets middle-school students to care about history by reaching them where they live—online—through a series of FREE role-playing games set in different eras.:
- Mission 1, “For Crown or Colony?” helps players understand the social, political and economic conflicts that led to the American Revolution.
- Mission 2, “Flight to Freedom,” focuses on resistance to slavery.
