Charlie Whinham uncovers the history of minor league baseball in Louisiana. The Evangeline League prospered in rural Louisiana from the 1930s to the 1950s. Teams included the Alexandria Aces, Abbeville Athletics, Crowley Millers, Hammond Berries and the Houma Indians. Over sixty players from the Evangeline League would go on to play in the majors.
