British Ambassador Visits Louisiana (5:04) Sir Peter Westmacott, British Ambassador to the United States visited Louisiana recently to talk with business and political leaders. Ambassador Westmacott also sat down with LPB President Beth Courtney to discuss trade discussions between the UK and US, foreign policy issues and the civil litigation and settlements following the 2010 BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Louisiana’s Only World Series (17:44) LPB reflects on Black History Month and the start of another baseball season. Monroe is the only city in Louisiana to have ever hosted a professional baseball world series. In 1932, the Monroe Monarchs hosted Satchel Paige and the Pittsburgh Crawfords in the Negro League World Series.
