Louisiana Winter Weather (12:55) Many parts of Louisiana fell under winter weather advisories and warnings for the second time in two weeks. While officials in Atlanta appeared to be caught by surprise, Louisiana fared much better. Charlie Whinham explains part of that is due to the coordinated preparation efforts taken by state and local agencies. SHARE

Tax Season Begins (18:24) When it comes to preparing your taxes, are you leaving money on the table? Diane Denton with the IRS offers information on EITC, the Earned Income Tax Credit. It is a refundable tax credit for low to moderate income working individuals and families originally passed by Congress in 1975. In Louisiana, 518,000 received $1.4 billion in EITC with an average amount of $2,600. SHARE
