Green Army Fighting for the Environment (5:17) Known for our festivals, a new one has been added to the lineup, the Louisiana Water Festival. But this is not about passing a good time. This festival will shed light on a common concern statewide, the safety of drinking water. Retired Lt. Gen. Russel Honore and his Green Army have put together an ambitious legislative agenda that addresses everything from the Department of Natural Resources, to lawmakers working in the oil and gas industry who push legislation favoring the industry, to monitoring the health of residents living near chemical and industrial plants. Shauna Sanford talks with the General this week. SHARE

Dr. Eakin spent her life making certain the story by Solomon Northup would not be forgotten.
