Should Louisiana expand Medicaid benefits to subsidize national health coverage or not? Governor Bobby Jindal has chosen to opt out of the program citing Louisiana would pay up to $1.7 billion over the next ten years. Supporters say the expansion would offer healthcare for up to 400,000 Louisiana uninsured residents.
