Medicaid Expansion Debate
LSWI3637 - May 24, 2013

Should Louisiana expand Medicaid benefits to subsidize national health coverage or not? Governor Bobby Jindal has chosen to opt out of the program citing Louisiana would pay up to $1.7 billion over the next ten years. Supporters say the expansion would offer healthcare for up to 400,000 Louisiana uninsured residents. We preview this month’s Louisiana Public Square topic “Medicaid Expansion: Take it, or Leave it?”
