Reverend T. J. Jemison (09:46) Civil Rights icon Reverend T. J. Jemison has died at age 95. Among his many achievements is the Baton Rouge bus boycott of 1953 which has been referred to as the blueprint for the bus boycott led by Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. in Montgomery, Alabama. We will look back at his life. SHARE

Louis Gossett, Jr. (16:12) The 1853 memoir by Solomon Northup, “12 Years A Slave,” greatly helped change the course of American history. It was Dr. Sue Eakin, a respected Louisiana historian, who spent her life making certain his story would not be forgotten.
