Little is known about the Rosenwald Schools, but they are responsible for educating thousands of African American children throughout the South including Louisiana. The schools were the result of an amazing relationship between noted African American author and educator Booker T. Washington and the CEO of Sears and Roebuck, Julius Rosenwald. More than 5000 schools were built - but where are they? In part one of her series, Shauna Sanford discovers how one curious museum curator stumbled upon an old wooden school house that opened the door to an historic treasure.
