Roughly 300 Fort Polk Soldiers flew into Alexandria this week after returning home from a one year deployment in Afghanistan. As KATC-TV reporter Maddie Garrett explains, many were on hand to welcome them home, including a special group of volunteers known as “The Apple Pie Brigade.”
