Elena Kagan Confirmation Hearing

LPB aired the PBS NewsHour’s live coverage of the confirmation hearings for President Barrack Obama’s U.S. Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan on LPB2 and Online here. The Senate Judiciary Committee’s hearing started at ~11:30AM on Monday and ran for the rest of the day. The Tuesday and Wednesday sessions lasted all day. NewsHour’s Judy Woodruff anchored the coverage with analysis from Marcia Coyle, who regularly covers the Supreme Court for the NewsHour and for the National Law Journal. During extended breaks in the hearing, on the live web stream, Hari Sreenevisan (NewsHour) engaged Marcia Coyle with questions submitted by viewers via email, Twitter or Facebook.
